A Look Back…

The Ewa 1was built 1890 by Baldwin Locomotive Works and was the first steam locomotive used on the Ewa Sugar Plantation.

December 31st is quite often day of reflection on the past year, or past decade as this year would have it.  So in that spirit here are two story links that tell of O’ahu’s recent rail history and another that chronicles an even older rail project that still moves today. In both cases, there is optimism for rail transit on the island while looking into the years to come.
