Honoululu rail project architects defend plan for elevated route , was the headline of a Honolulu Advertiser article yesterday that said, “A group of architects who have worked on Honolulu ‘s planned rail project yesterday said they support plans to build the $5.3 billion train on an elevated guideway.”  The architecture firms supporting the elevated plans are:

Currently a contingent from the AIA Hawaii chapter is opposing a fully elevated rail plan.

A month ago, Reality Rail posted an interesting weakness in collective argument from local architects against the elevated rail plans. Both side of the argument will be present at the State Capitol on Martin Luther King Day for the public forum scheduled by Governor Lingle from 9 – 11am.
